Safety inside Asker
- Asker is only for adults aged 18 and over.
- Profile photos are screened before publication. Automated screening can route uncertain images to human review.
- Text guardrails look for harassment, sexual exploitation, contact-link spam and payment scams.
- Block, report and unmatch controls are available in profiles and conversations.
- Private chat opens after mutual interest.
A profile badge, photo check or moderation decision is not an identity, background or criminal-record check.
Protect yourself online
- Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency or financial credentials to someone you met in the app.
- Keep early conversations in Asker so reporting context is available.
- Do not share a home address, passport, verification code or intimate material under pressure.
- Stop if a person creates urgency, refuses normal questions or asks you to move immediately to an unknown link.
Meeting in person
- Choose a public place and arrange your own transport.
- Tell someone you trust where you are going and when you expect to return.
- Keep your phone charged and do not leave food or drinks unattended.
- Leave at any time. You never owe a date more time, contact or explanation.
Report a concern
Use Report in the relevant profile or conversation so the moderation team receives the right context. For an urgent account-safety issue, use the support form and select Safety. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
